How Professor Paws works
Real homework goes in. Your child gets one calm step at a time — and does the thinking themselves.
Three steps

1. Add the work
Type or paste the homework your child was assigned — spelling words, the assigned math, or a home reading passage. Photographing it is coming soon.

2. Work one step at a time
The puppy gives one spoken or visual instruction at a time. If your child is stuck, the step gets smaller — a hint, a smaller piece, something to move — instead of the answer.

3. See where help was needed
You can see what was practiced, where support was needed, and what will return later.
The learning progression many schools use — continued at home
It starts with something your child can see and move. Support gradually fades, and important skills return days later — spaced practice, built into the plan.
Built around the work school actually sends home
Professor Paws doesn't replace the teacher, the reading book, or the homework sheet. It helps your child understand and practice that work at home:
- Weekly spelling words — hear the whole word and its sound-spelling parts, trace and write it, and meet it again over the week.
- Assigned math — the exact table or skill that was assigned, taught with objects your child moves, then pictures, then the numbers.
- Home reading — short stories one page at a time, read aloud on request, with one look-back question at the end.
Designed with different ways of learning in mind
Professor Paws is designed with ADHD, autism, and dyslexia in mind: one step at a time, no timers, and no penalty for a wrong answer.
That is a design intent, not a promise. Professor Paws is not a diagnosis tool and not a treatment, and we don't make claims about outcomes — it is a calmer way through the homework your child already has.
Who it's for
Professor Paws may be a good fit if your child finds homework overwhelming, shuts down before starting, rushes just to be done, or needs instructions broken into smaller steps — with or without a formal diagnosis.
What it is not
